PASTORAL WELCOME

Welcome to the website of Lakewood Baptist Church.  We have designed this website to be both a source of information about our church and a resource for those seeking to know more about the faith we practice.  We hope that you will find the site easy to navigate, and filled with the information you are looking for.

I invite you to visit our services, contact our staff, or simply utilize the resources of this website.  Recent Sunday morning messages can be downloaded to give you a flavor of our verse by verse approach to studying the Bible.  We invite questions and interaction about God’s instructions for living, and encourage you to do that by email or in person.

We are an inclusive multicultural, multigenerational group of believers with a connection to our military community. Our atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and our focus is clear, we are serious about our faith.  Our purpose is to Glorify God through our activities and our worship.  Worship at Lakewood Baptist Church is characterized by:

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
